ABU DHABI - The Abu Dhabi National Takaful Company, 'Takaful' (ADNTC) at a meeting that was a sequel to its first annual general meeting held at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital on Monday announced the completion of all the establishment procedures of the company.
"We will offer a host of comprehensive Islamic insurance products and services to meet customer needs in an effective manner to comply with the principles of Sharia", Mr. Khalifa Nasser Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Board, said on the occasion.
ADNTC was initially founded as a public stock company with 45 per cent of the total capital of Dh60 million subscribed by founders and the remaining offered for public subscription. The Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) is the main founder of the company with 120 other founders representing major companies as well as individuals including ADIB's national employees.
The annual meeting confirmed the appointment of Messrs. Mubarak Mattar Al Humeiri, Rashid bin Sultan Al Dhaheri, Mohammed Abdullah Juma Al Qubaisi, Saleh Rashid Al Dhaheri, Ghanim Mubarak al Mansoori and Ahmed Mohammed El Shall as members of the board. Mr. Oussama Abdul Rahman Al Kaissi was appointed General Manager of the company.
