Dubai, 1 Feb. 2011 (WAM) -- The UAE banned today importation of all hoofed animals, their products and their offal, from Bulgaria and Netherlands as a precautionary measure against infiltration of any epidemical or contagious diseases into the country.
According to the decree, those animals and their products will not be allowed to transit through UAE lands. The ministerial decree, which excludes pasteurised and powderedmilk, and their by-products, was motivated by information received from the International Organization for Animal Health (OIE) which states the appearance of the food and mouth disease in sheep and cows in the two European countries.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2011.
