ISLAMABAD, 8th Oct. 2011 (WAM): UAE Ambassador in Pakistan Isa Abdulla Al Basha has met here with Chairperson of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Farzana Raja. The BISP was primarily founded to alleviate poverty and empower women among the underprivileged segment.
Issues related to social sectors were discussed. Raja briefed the visiting ambassador about the details of various initiatives taken by BISP and informed him of the improvement in the socio-economic conditions of millions of poor families through these efforts.
