Tunisia is outpacing its Maghreb neighbours in the use of banking cards and automatic teller machines, Tunisia Online reported on Thursday (December 3rd).
According to a new study by the Tunisian Professional Association of Banks and Financial Establishments, the number of debit cards is now over 2 million. Indicators showed a 20% increase since 2007. In Morocco, the growth was 9.8 %. The number of ATM machines doubled since 2005, the report also noted.
