ABU DHABI, 2 May, 05 (WAM) - Fahd El Hosni, President of theAbu Dhabi Travel and Tourism Agencies Committee (ATTAC) on Sundaytold the travel agents to be aware of the challenges ahead andcalled on them to be united to face these challenges.
El Hosni was addressing the fifth annual general meetingof the ATTAC held at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industryon Sunday, according to a statement from ADCCI.
El Hosni said that the ATTAC made several achievements duringlast year, which were highly beneficial to the members.
Listing the achievements and activities of the ATTAC during theyear he said, several intensive meetings were held to createawareness on BSP among the travel agents with the help of internationallyreputed BSP experts. It also set up a joint committee with BAR to enhance cooperationbetween airlines and travel agents. The ATTAC also launched itsmagazine "Al Zajel" during the year, he said. It also finalysed the feasibility study for setting up a specialisedinstitute to impart training on all aspects on the travel industry. The Committee also finalysed all arrangements to hold the firstTravel agents Exhibition in Abu Dhabi from May 14 to 20 in co-operationwith the Abu Dhabi Mall. Addressing the gathering, ADCCI Director General MohammedOmar Abdullah called on the ATTAC to promote Abu Dhabi as oneof the best tourism destinations in the region.Abdullah promised all the help from the ADCCI in all theendeavours of ATTAC to improve the business atmosphere on thetravel and tourism sector of Abu Dhabi.
Abdullah also lauded the good work done by the ATTAC sinceit was set up five years ago to protect the interest of the travelagents in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
