DUBAI, January 9th, 2014 (WAM) -- Thuraya Telecommunications, a leading Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) operator, has announced the appointment of Ahmad Mustafa Al Shareef as Senior Director of Human Resources and Support Operations as of January 2nd, 2014.
As Thuraya?s new Head of Human Resources, Al Shareef is responsible for managing employee relations as well as overseeing the procurement and administration divisions. He reports to Samer Halawi, Chief Executive Officer of Thuraya and will serve as a member of the Company?s Leadership Team."I am pleased to welcome Ahmad Al Shareef to Thuraya," said Samer Halawi. His background includes working with senior executive teams to ensure that the company accomplishes its business plans over the short, medium and long term. He has worked in close collaboration with management teams on organisational optimisation and alignment, improving employee relations, and talent retention. Al Shareef joins Thuraya from a local asset management entity where he was their Director of Human Resources. A U.A.E. National, fluent in English and Arabic, Al Shareef holds a Bachelor of Computer Systems Engineering (CSE) from Boston University.
