Erbil - The Turkish media said on Monday that the Turkish pop singer, Ibrahim Tatlises who announced earlier that he will run for the ruling Justice and development party to enter the parliamentary elections in Turky, he nominated himself as an independent figure from Urfa city of a Kurdish majority.
According to (CNN), Turkish news station, "Tataliss who are undergoing treatment in a German hospital after suffering from serious injures and survived an assassination attempt has nominated himself to run for his hometown Urfa city by his lawyer , Ahmed Turkmen who went to the supreme body of the Turkish elections today."
CNN Turk quoted Turkmen as saying that "at the request of Tataliss , I reviewed the Election Commission today to accept his candidacy for Urfa city," stressing that "Tataliss will begin preparations for the elections after the end of his treatment abroad."
Tataliss who was shot in the head was transferred to a rehabilitation center and physical therapy in (Marno) German town, which is 70 kilometers from (Munich) city to complete his treatment.
The popular singer , Ibrahim Tataliss was shot in the head in the 13 of March after he left a television station in Istanbul after finishing filming his famous program (EPO Shaw), after his exposure to fire on his car by a machine gun from inside a car beside him and they have fled after the incident, the Turkish police was able after the incident to arrest the perpetrators of the attack and the instigator of the process , Abdullah Augmak.
It is noteworthy that Tataliss who enjoys wide popularity in Iraq, Iran, Syria , Azerbaijan and a number of Balkan countries has announced before he was attacked that he will run for membership of the Turkish parliament for the ruling Justice and Development Party led by , Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
