ArabFinance: Food delivery platform talabat appointed Hadeer Shalaby as the new managing director for Egypt operations, according to a January 18th emailed press release.

Shalaby has succeeded Sofine Marzouki, who temporarily assumed the managing director position since January 2020.

Marzouki is currently focusing on his regional role at the companys headquarters in Dubai, the statement noted.

Shalaby is the Co-Founder of Taxi el Sa7el company, the first startup for transportation services in Egypt that was launched in 2014, before it was acquired by Careem Egypt.

Last October, talabat teamed up with digital booking service portal Booking.com to provide a refund service.
