The Social Security Corporation (SSC) on Wednesday said that it had finished preparing the draft of the health insurance system that will be applied to SSC subscribers through private sector institutions, retirees who are not covered in public or military health insurance and their family members.

SSC Spokesperson Shaman Majali, during a panel session organised by the social protection observatory of the Tamkeen for Legal Aid and Human Rights, said that this insurance will be financed by subscriptions deducted from Jordanian workers by 3 per cent of their wages and 5 per cent for non-Jordanians, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Majali added that these percentages will be deducted only from employees.
