Saudi investors have announced the completion of the final designs for the first-ever private Saudi medical center to be set up at Dubai's Medical City, on an area covering 22,000 sq. feet, at a total cost of SR 65 million. This project will constitute one of the largest medical institutions, specializing in dermatology, endermic surgery and laser technology, as well as plastic and reconstructive surgery.
The medical center will consist of four upper floors and two under-ground floors; advanced dermatology clinics for the treatment of skin diseases such as Vitiligo and Psoriasis, endermic surgery and clinics for the treatment of hair problems, using new and advanced medical procedures. It will also consist of a research center to be operational in cooperation with some of the highly reputable international medical universities. The aim of this research center, is to explore all that is innovative in this field, to keep up with international medical advancements, as well as to undertake all the necessary medical research studies to further advance the center's clinics for preventative medicine and its general health care facilities.
Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Isa, general manager of Derma Clinics in Riyadh, and a consultant in dermatology, said that this venture reflects the Derma Clinic's enormous medical capabilities and efficient manpower. This led the clinic to open a specialized dermatological treat-ment, surgical and research center of the highest standard outside the Kingdom. Dubai boasts of more than 70 medical centers, university hospitals, medical schools and research centers.
Dr. Al Isa also asserted that the Derma center in Dubai would be fully equipped with the most advanced medical instruments for dermatological treatment and laser surgeries, par with renowned medical centers such as Harvard, John Hopkins and Mayo Clinics that already operate in Dubai Medical City.
