MUSCAT -- The Association of Early Intervention for Children With Special Needs, one of the leading charitable organisations, received 10 Shell Fuel Cards as a goodwill gesture from Shell Oman. Faisal al Hashar, Managing Director of Shell Oman Marketing Company, handed over the fuel cards to Hassan Mohamed Mossa, Marketing and Fund Raising Manger, at a special presentation ceremony held in Shell Oman Head Office. He congratulated AEICWSN on their remarkable work for the uplift of the children with special needs in Oman, by making them self reliant and helping them contribute towards the progress of society.
Al Hashar said, "The role of AEICWSN has been instrumental in creating a substantial place for the physically handicapped in society, one from which we all should get inspired. At Shell Oman we have always supported charitable initiatives and social investment programmes. The free fuel is our gesture in the same direction." "Shell Oman is a responsible corporate citizen, where it believes in participating in helping and investing in the welfare of the communities that we operate in as long as we do it profitably and responsibly.
It has been a continuous endeavour of Shell Oman to give a momentum to long-term sustainable development in the country. Helping out communities in fact, is laid out as one of the 7 core principles guiding our sustainable development programme," he added. Mohammed Moosa said, "We are absolutely thrilled with the support offered by Shell Oman. The free fuel will go a long way in minimising our daily transportation costs. It will also help us allocate finances and resources towards other productive activities related to our cause."
