SHARJAH: H. H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, Supreme President of the University of Sharjah (UoS) said the varsity's medical colleges now stand out among academic institutes in the region and the world as a model for universities around the world.
Sheikh Sultan made his remarks in his speech at a graduation ceremony for a new batch of students of the College of Health Sciences (CHS), the College of Medicine, the College of Dentistry and the College of Pharmacy. He also commended the excellence of UoS graduates were able to beat with graduate of international prestigious universities in competitions over the posts at the UoS university hospital. The ceremony was held at the University City in Sharjah and brought together a large number of academicians, professors, students and officials of the university and the Government of Sharjah. Present at the ceremony were H.H Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al-Qassimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and H.H Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salim Al-Qassimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah. Sheikh Sultan also noted urged the new graduates to seek higher levels of education and academic attainment "as knowledge is limitless and the growth of all disciplines is so fast."Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2011.
