Sharjah, Jan 30th, 2009 (WAM): Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi will open on Sunday the 7th UAE International Conference on Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine.

The event is organised by Ministry of Health in association with Society of Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine of the Emirates Medical Association and the Pan Arab Federation of Societies of Anaesthesia Intensive Care and Pain Management.

The 9th Pan Arab Federation of Societies of Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Pain Management Congress will also be held along with the conference, organised at the Campus of The University of Sharjah under the patronage of HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah.

The scientific program will feature several topics on Anaesthesiology, Critical Care and Pain Medicine which will highlight the important and relevant issues covering the different subspecialties of anaesthesia. A galaxy of experts from around the world will address the conference.

An exhibition to accompany the event will showcase the most modern equipments in the related field, according to the organisers.

The 7th UAE International Conference on Anaesthesia, Critical Care & Pain Medicine and The 9th Pan Arab Federation of Societies of Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Pain Management Congress has been projected as excellent opportunity to share Health experiences on national, regional and international levels and to set the focus for higher standards of health care and medical quality for the years to come.

The conference is being organised as per directives from Minister of Health HE Humaid Mohammed Obeid Al Qattami and within the strategy of the ministry to encourage and support science and scientists in their respective fields, as well as to improve health services.

Director of Sharjah Medical Zone and chairman of the organising committee Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saqr Al Qasimi said that conferences will include academic sessions and workshops, in which over 1200 specialists from various countries will participate.
