Amman - Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications and Government Spokesperson, Samih Maaytah, said that information needs synonyms that supports and promotes its professional use.
Maaytah told "Petra" In a seminar held yesterday by the Amman Center for Human Rights Studies (ACHRS), that interest in the Access to Information Act indicates that media will continue adopting legislation regulating this sector.
He added that ensuring the right of access to information and protecting the secrets and documents of the state are part of the laws that the media strategy recommended to modify.
The seminar, entitled "Towards the development of ensuring the right of Access to Information Act", was held in cooperation with the World Bank on the occasion of the International Right to Know Day.
