Paris, June 13, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided last night a loan of SR 112,500,000 to Republic of Afghanistan, in the framework of the International Conference for Reconstruction of Afghanistan currently in progress in Paris.
On the Saudi side, the agreement was signed by Vice President and Managing Director of Saudi Fund for Development, Eng. Yousuf Ibrahim Al-Bassam and on the Afghan side by Finance Minister, Anwar Al-Haq Ahadi.
This loan comes as a participation of the Kingdom in financing a vital project in the transportation sector in Afghanistan.
