JEDDAH, 14 February 2007 -- The National Commercial Bank (NCB) has launched a new, more reliable and user-friendly Tadawul Plus service with new advanced features for its brokerage customers. Tadawul Plus, the upgraded version of its existing Tadawul online service, has new more features than the existing online trading service.

NCB Brokerage Business Manager Khalid H. Tahir gave a live demonstration of the new online trading system at a press conference at the NCB branch in Andalus Street yesterday.

Tahir said Tadawul Plus service, which has been in operation since Saturday, has three main features. He said "Clients can place the orders on the screen itself, create a basket of orders and prices are automatically refreshed."

Tahir added, "Tadawul Plus has an increased capacity to serve more customers at one time, leading to faster execution with no delay and high system reliability, all of which makes it the most superior online brokerage service in Saudi Arabia."

"The online trading business is rapidly growing and we are determined to maintain our leadership position in this field, along with fulfilling our commitment to making our customers experience an easy to use and trouble free online brokerage service. I also wish to reassure all our brokerage customers that AlAhli Tadawul Plus is the fastest and safest way to trade online," Hany AlShuwaier, head of NCB Brokerage Division, said.

Tahir said "AlAhli Tadawul has not changed, but it has been considerably enhanced. The interface and the speed of connection have improved considerably. Additionally, the bundle of new features make Tadawul Plus a very user friendly tool: The basket buy/sell (a feature that is familiar to online shoppers) offers the option to add all desirable stocks into one basket and close the deal by using one single password. Also the stock prices are now automatically updated on the purchase screen without needing to refresh the Internet page to get the latest prices.

Adnan Al-Ghalib Al-Sharif, alternative distribution manager, Brokerage Division, of NCB, said "The response to this new service has been very positive. We have received very good feedback from our clients," he said, adding "The system was developed according to the requirements of the clients and the market."

Apart from AlAhli Tadawul and Tadawul Plus, NCB also offers GCC (Gulf Cooperative Council) and international trading systems. "Tadawul Plus service is only for clients in the Kingdom only," Tahir said.

AlAhli Tadawul is the one smart solution for online trading, with user-friendly and state-of-the-art technology. It reaffirms NCB's position as one of the most technologically advanced and innovative banks in Saudi Arabia.
