RIYADH: A group of students of the Business Administration College at King Saud University graduated through the "Dale Carnegie" Program on Sunday.
The program has been set up to enable them to enter the labor market with proficiency.
SABB in collaboration with the Business Club at the university participated in the integrated program covering skills and behaviors necessary for work, a press release from the bank said.
This program is the initiative of the Business Club at the university. It was set up following recommendations from King Saud University, which highlighted the need for a program to strengthen higher education and provide basic skills necessary to enter the labor market in a globalized financial environment.
Mohammed Al-Hathloul, supervisor of the Business Club, said, "The university restructured its methodologies to be in harmony with the global standards, particularly in the field of specialization of economic and business administration. This also enabled the university in supporting the activities in higher education."
He said the program will enable the graduates to compete in the labor market locally and internationally. "The program will also provide skilled workers to the Kingdom, thus enhancing the Kingdom's global economic position," he added.
Al-Hathloul said the Dale Carnegie institute was selected because it provides the best and latest training programs suitable for the market. "In addition it has a long experience and rich record in preparing many leaders. Today Dale Carnegie Programs cover a global network of training centers and institutes in 76 countries, including Saudi Arabia, employing more than 5,000 accredited trainers," he said.
Al-Hathloul also praised SABB's support to the club's initiative that aims at enhancing cooperation between the university and the public and private sector institutions. He also lauded the bank's corporate social responsibility and their support for community welfare programs.
Ibrahim Abo-Mouti, head of corporate communications at SABB, said, "The participation of SABB in this project comes within its belief that it will have a great effect on the educational renaissance and culture in our country."
Abo-Mouti praised the initiative of King Saud University in improving the skills of its new business graduates or those about to graduate in different specializations and preparing them for the labor market.
