This is its fourth property in the Middle East, according to a company statement.
Michael Gibb, vice-president of operations and development, Middle East, Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, said, "We're consistently looking at new opportunities to reinforce the Rosewood presence and develop the brand in the Middle East. The expansion possibilities include Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Egypt."
Rosewood already has three properties in Saudi Arabia.
Rosewood Dubai will be an example of modern architecture on Shaikh Zayed Road, offering guests easy access to the city's central business district, international exhibition centre, Downtown Burj Dubai and Dubai Mall's myriad of designer shopping and entertainment facilities.
Private residence
The hotel is characterised by luxurious furnishings, handcrafted interiors, and very high levels of personalised attention courtesy of Rosewood's award-winning butler service which extends to every single guest, in an atmosphere reminiscent of a private residence.
The hotel features 154 guest rooms and 36 suites, two restaurants, a ballroom, and 49 Rosewood Residences.
Another major attraction for hotel guests and Dubai residents is the launch of the company's first Middle East Spa, Sense, A Rosewood Spa, which will be an 18,000 square foot facility.
