Tehran - President-elect Hassan Rohani said real freedom and democracy were observed during the June 14 presidential election.

Rohani made the remarks in a live TV program broadcasted by the state TV and the Islamic Republic of Iranˈs News Network (IRINN).

He said the Islamic Republic of Iran is the forerunner of holding democratic elections in the region.
