AMMAN (Petra) - Senate President Zeid Rifai and Lower House Speaker Abdul Hadi Majali on Tuesday separately received the resident representative of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in the Kingdom, Ahmad Ali Atiqah, and discussed with him the importance of cooperation between the two sides in the financing sector.

The talks covered the IFC role and efforts for enhancing the national economic reform and developing the local finance sector. both sides discussed the corporation's future programmes and plans targeting the development of the private sector and upgrading the legislative investment environment in the Kingdom. IFC's current investments in Jordan stand at around $300 million and the amount is expected to increase to more than $500 million next year.
