DOHA: Over 50 students of Joan bin Jassim Model Independent School joined the Ministry of Environment's ongoing "Clean Beach Campaign" the other day.

The students cleaned long stretch of Al Khor beach and collected huge quantities of rubbish strewn along the shores by the visitors. Ali Sultan Al Ghanem, Director, Environment Awareness, Ministry of Environment, said the cleaning programme was launched as part of the Ministry's initiatives to spread the message of 'environment protection' among the young minds. The ministry has lined up a series of programmes for the students, he said.
