Doha - The Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) has said that the shortage of plaster sand is expected to end shortly.

The head of the contracting committee at the Chamber told a local Arabic daily that the panel had been in touch with the office of the municipal minister for the past several days since the shortage began and assurances had been given that the shortage would ease within 48 hours, Nasser Al Mir, was quoted as saying on Monday. Al Mir, a board member of the QCCI, heads the contracting panel.
