Doha: Fawzi Al Musallam, Executive Director of Safir International Hotel Management, recently announced the appointment of Samir H Harmouche as Chief Operating Officer for Safir Hotels and Resorts effective July 2005, a press release said yesterday.
In his new position, Harmouche will be responsible in overseeing the day to day operating aspects of the company at corporate level as well as all units under the Safir chain and shall report directly to the Executive Director.
Fawzi Al Musallam stated that this move is in line with the company's recent development strategies as well as expansion plans that are aimed at diversifying its services in order to improve portfolio performance.
Samir H Harmouche brings over extensive and global experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. An American educated, he held several major positions in leading hotel names in many parts of the world such as Australia, Turkey, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, and Kuwait.
An Australian citizen and originally from Lebanon, Harmouche is also very well-known in the establishment and management of world class commercial complexes.
