Doha - The Ministry of Interior has unified the fees for issuance and renewal of residence permits (RP) for wives and children under personal sponsorship.
The residence permit renewal fee for wife and children of all ages has now been fixed at QR400. Earlier, the fee was QR500 for wife and children aged above 18 years and QR300 for children below 18 years.
However, a discount of 20 percent has been given for those renewing RPs of their wives and children and others under personal sponsorship for a period of three years. Companies renewing their employees' visas for a period of three years can also avail of this discount. The visa renewal fee for employees for one year remains QR1,000.
The visa fee for bringing one's father, mother or sister under personal sponsorship has been reduced to QR200 from QR500.
At the same time, the Interior Ministry has raised the fees for some other services offered by its General Directorate of Border Passports and Expatriate Affairs, as per Law No 19 of 2007. The new fees came to effect on Tuesday.
A new fee of QR10 has been imposed for issuing exit permits. The fee for ID cards has been raised from QR50 to QR100.
