DOHA - Lulu Hypermarket and the Lulu Center have notched record sales during this year's Doha Summer Festival, according to an official spokesperson for the retail giant.
The retail outlets had signed up as participating outlets for the Doha Summers Festival 2008 and had lined up a series of their own promotional activities.
They have organised a series of events in connection with the ongoing festival to upkeep their team spirit and solidarity with Qatar Tourism Authority in their stride to bring about entertainment and surprise to the general public.
As part of the festival, Lulu Hypermarket has lined up a series of promotions like Lulu-LG Cash Back Promotion offering prizes worth QR 50,000, Lulu-Unilever Gold Promotion, Sharp and Black & Decker 'Fly for Free'
Promotion offering 15 Air-tickets to the customers and Denim Personal Care Gift voucher promotion. Simultaneously all tenants of these shopping malls have also planned parallel promotions and bundle offers during the Festival days.
Sainulabdeen, General Manager of Lulu Hypermarket said, "We were anticipating a large turnout and the number of people who visited us during these days was much higher than we had expected." The major attraction is that both shopping venues are offering a chance to win amazing prizes twice on the same coupon - one in the exclusive draw held every Wednesday at Lulu Hypermarket, and the other in the general draw being conducted by the Qatar Tourism Authority.
Qatar Tourism Authority had placed Draw Boxes at Lulu Hypermarket and Lulu Center taking into convenience of the shoppers. Five fabulous prizes were offered to its customers through weekly exclusive draws. The draw will continue for three consecutive weeks during the Festival period.
