Doha - The Indian Community Benevolent Fund (ICBF) in association with the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Qatar Chapter will organise a free medical camp for low income expatriates at the Ideal Indian School premises on May 27 at 8am.

The camp will be supported by volunteers of "Serve and Inspire", an organization which is working for the welfare of underprivileged people, a press statement said yesterday.

A team of doctors from IMA with pharmacists would be screening about 400 people at the camp. Awareness sessions will also be held on the hazards of smoking, diabetes, hypertension, heart diseases, tuberculosis etc. If patients require further treatment, they will be referred to the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). ICBF may financially support deserving cases, if necessary. The camp will be open to all expatriates and admission will be regulated through pre- registration.
