Doha - Hyatt Plaza, the leading family shopping destination in Qatar, recently celebrated its first-ever Excellence Awards Presentation Ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Hyatt Plaza General Manager Feroz Moideen said: "Hyatt Plaza Management Team has always believed in the vision of H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, of creating and fostering a culture of business excellence in Qatar. We understand that this can only be done by developing a process for continuous improvement within each department in our organizational structure. To achieve this we partnered with Qatar Center for Career Development, a specialist training and HR-development company in Doha, and are happy to say that we have successfully completed phase 1 of our objectives which involved team-integration, change management and creative thinking.

With our first Excellence Awards Ceremony we have recognized those individuals within our organization who have added solid and measureable value to our efforts to become the shopping destination of choice for entire families."
When asked about the future of these Excellence Awards, Feroz Moideen was upbeat and positive: "This is just the beginning. Before enlarging the scope of the Excellence Awards, we wanted to be the first to embrace a superior service culture within our own organization, so that both our tenants and our customers get what they richly deserve - excellence in service, courtesy, theme entertainment, shopping value, variety and range, security and safety -- in short, an experience to benchmark against the best in the world.
