DOHA - The concept of "Halal" has been designed for health, safety and benefits of all mankind regardless of age, faith or culture.

"We believe that the emerging global Halal market will be one of the most exciting market forces in coming decades, said Mahmood Azam, brand manager -Sadia, Qatar National Import & Export Co.

The US food marketing institute and the American meat institute have highlighted the importance of the market for Halal products, saying the market for Halal products are poised to grow exponentially among those who choose these products for religious reasons or for the other perceived benefits.

Number of multinational food companies which are repositioning itself as nutrition, health & Wellness Company accepting and approaching towards the concepts of Halal foods, VIZ. Nestle is working with UK retailer Tesco to introduce its Halal products globally.

Brazil, one of the major producers of chicken and beef meat products is well accepted in the Arab markets as the companies follows religious norms for Halal slaughter.
