DOHA: Al Meera executives described the creative rationale behind their new logo to shareholders and media during the General Assembly yesterday.

"The dominant image in our new logo is a leaf, which represents our customers," said Chairman Abdulla Al Qahtani. "But this leaf also has a shadow, and that shadow represents all of our Al Meera staff. We see our staff as a mirror to our customers. So, where our customers are, our staff will always be there to assist them. The customer is at the forefront in the logo in the same way the customer is given priority in each Al Meera branch."

He said that the leaf Al Meera chose for their logo is from an Arabic palm tree. "These trees are known for their strength, deep roots, long life, and ability to withstand hardship," he said. So, despite exposure to outside elements, the leaf continues to rise as it is shown in the logo. In the same way, Al Meera remains competitive and vibrant in the face of competition."

"The new Al Meera logo reflects the three core objectives of our mission...to serve our customers with unmatched quality and dedication, to develop friendly, knowledgeable employees in a professional work environment, and to reward the communities we work within by implementing the highest standards in everything we do and share our resources."
