Dubai, 15th Dec 2008 (WAM) : A few days after the launching of the Princess Haya Award for Special Education, and following the counsel of Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, Wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, an executive committee has been formed to be chaired by Mohammed Al Emadi, Board Member of Dubai Care, Director General of the Dubai Autism Center.

The executive committee also included Yasser Hareb, vice president of the Mohmmed bin Rashid Foundation, Fahad Al Bannai, vice president - Axiom Telecom, Issam Ahmed Lootah, and Faten Hani, Executive Director of the Education Centre, DIFC.

This was associated with the unveiling of the logo of Princess Haya Award for Special Education, which is designed to reflect the compassion and care given by Special Needs institutions and families.

Princess Haya Award for Special Education was launched on November 23rd to be the first initiative of its kind in the region. It targets the best models of the special needs sector in various categories according to high international standards. The initiative also aims to encourage people working in the special needs to excel and set higher service standards in all fields of special education.
