Damascus - President Bashar al-Assad received on Monday Arab artist Wadi al-Safi.
President al-Assad inquired about Al-Safi's health condition, wishing him best health. He also praised his artistic achievements in service of art and music and his patriotic spirit which was embodied in his songs and stances.
Wadi al-Safi thanked President al-Assad for his care, expressing happiness over meeting him. He pointed out that Syria under the leadership of President al-Assad has always cared for art and artists.
After the meeting, al-Safi said that his meeting with President al-Assad was one of the most significant meetings in his life, wishing him a long life.
"Syria will remain the country of freedom, heroes, loyalty, generosity and hospitality. It's an honor for us to be Syrian Lebanese and Lebanese Syrians," said al-Safi, affirming the unity of the Syrian and Lebanese people.
