MUSCAT -- The Port Services Corporation (PSC) hosted its annual awards function under the auspices of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Harthy, minister of civil service here on Monday.
This awards ceremony is held annually by the corporation to honour the shipping fraternity, the port users and the related government agencies in recognition of their significant contribution to the corporation during the year.
The minister presented the awards to various companies for various categories.
Awards for outstanding contribution to PSC's turnover was bagged by Bhacker Haji Abdulatiff, Gulf Agency Co. and Maersk Shipping Services.
Awards for outstanding efforts in promoting the business of PSC went to Sharaf Shipping Services, Al Fayha Shipping, Khimji Ramdas Shipping and Yousuf Ahmed Kanoo.
Awards for achieving significant growth at PSC was bagged by Meridian Shipping Co. LLC; Universal Freight Services and Red Sea Shipping Agencies.
Certificate award for top five vehicle importers went to Saud Bahwan, Oman Trading Establishment, Suhail Bahwan, Zubair Automotive, Omasco and Moosa Abdul Rahman.
Certificate award for top 10 importers of containers was won by Saud Bahwan Oman; Oman Cables Industry; Oman Foodstuff Factory LLC; Public Authority for Stores; Khimji Ramdas LLC; Galfar Engineering and Contracting Company; Packaging Co. Ltd; Petroleum Development Oman; Oman Ceramics Co. and Oman Gulf Enterprises LLC
Certificate award for top 10 exporters of containers went to Muscat Overseas LLC; Oman Foodstuff Factory; Auto Parts Centre; National Arabian Gulf; Al Nasr Trading Cont; Naranjee and Co; Arabian Gulf; International Marble Co.; Gulf Mining Material and Al Megam Int Mining.
Certificate award for top three general cargo importers and exporters went to Bahwan Building Materials; Al Khalili and Sons Trading and Services and Oman Cement Company.
Certificate award for top three bulk cargo importers went to Raysut Cement Co.; Oman Cement Co and Areej Vegetable Oil and Derivatives. Certificate award for top six project cargo importers went to Oman Gas Company; Erko Oman LLC; Occidental Oman; Petroleum Development Oman; National Drilling Ent. LLC and Oman Refinery and Petrochemical.
Certificate award for top three cruise agents went to Khimji Ramdas Shipping; Gulf Agency Company and Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo.
