Dubai, Apr.1st, 2006 (WAM) --Dubai University College (DUC), the educational arm of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) have signed a training agreement in the presence of Abdul Rahman Al Mutaiwee, Director General of DCCI and Mr. Jamal Lootah, Director, Human Resources and General Administration (Shared Services) at PCFC.
"In line with its mission and vision statements, it has always been the endeavor at DUC to meet the skills and qualifications gap that exists in the business community. Through the Business English language training program we wish to upgrade the language skills of the Emarati nationals, so that they are better prepared to cope up with the challenges of globalization and to meet the international standards of service and quality to which PCFC is striving towards" Mr. Al Mutaiwee said.
On the occasion of the signing of the agreement, Mrs. Usha Kaul Saraf, Manager, Center for Management and Professional Development said: "This decision is an outcome of having delivered successfully customized training programs in Business English to a group of 50 employees of PCFC in December 2005. The participants and employers were satisfied with the quality delivery of the program, the facilities, the instructional resources and most importantly the learning that was facilitated by the experienced teachers.
