Dubai: Emirates Road towards Sharjah remained closed to traffic on Thursday due to flooding.
The road had been closed from Muhaisna Bridge till National Paints Roundabout since Wednesday after heavy flooding, especially near the National Paints Roundabout.
Dubai Police have asked motorists heading toward Sharjah from Emirates Road to use Dubai Bypass Road instead. The road is expected to remain closed until today.
The closure of Emirates Road toward Sharjah has forced heavy vehicle drivers to use Beirut Road as an alternative. Residents living along nearby Beirut Road said it took some of them up to 10 minutes to reach the main road.
