A multinational panel of judges has been announced for the 21st FAI World Grand Prix - the main event of the Al Ain Aerobatics Show.

Osmo Jalovaara from Finland has been appointed chairman of the panel and John Gaillard from South Africa the chief judge along with judges Lars-Goran Arvidsson (Sweden), Gren Dunken (United States), Quintin Hawthorne (South Africa) and Graham Hill (Britain.)

According to an official of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, the organisers of the show, a three-member panel has also been formed to judge the Radio Control (RC) Aerobatic Aeroplane Competition. The judges are Guy Revel from France, Jiri Havel from the Czech Republic and Bob Skinner from South Africa.

For jet and formation aerobatics, a separate panel of judges has been formed, which includes Alain Delacuvellerie and Frenchmen Lucien Fauque, Denis Meunier and Christian Velluz.

Jean Louis Monnet, an organiser of the Grand Prix, said the competition is open to elite pilots and formation teams and trainers who carry the FAI licence. It consists of two programmes incorporating creative technical style in flying and precision in synchronising movements with music.
