Tehran - Pakistan seeks to boost ties with Iran in dealing with such issues as terrorism, Pakistans Foreign Office spokesman said on Tuesday.

In his visit to Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Azaz Ahmed Chaudhry said: "For Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, economic development and peace and stability in the region is of great importance and it can be fruitful to negotiate with neighbors on these issues."

Speaking similar stance shared by Iran and Pakistan on crises in Syria, Egypt, and other Islamic countries, Chaudhry said: "We have similar stances...the governments of Pakistan and Iran have decided to concentrate their efforts on regional development, stability, and peace.

He also added that Pakistan seeks to bolster ties with Iran, especially in energy sector and that Tehran and Islamabad look for constant improvement of ties, in line with maintaining their national interests.
