Orange, the leading integrated telecommunications operator in the Kingdom, announced during a press conference on Wednesday that the number of Orange fixed line subscribers that use the ADSL service has reached the 100,000-customer milestone. The lucky subscriber will be granted absolutely free ADSL subscription from Orange for five years as well as a WiFi Livebox.
"We are proud to have provided 100,000 fixed lines for ADSL. We believe that this number reflects the spread of the Internet culture in Jordan," Mr Mickael Ghossein, Jordan Telecom Group CEO, said. He pointed out that the number of customers who are subscribing to the Orange fixed line in order to obtain ADSL service is on a continuous rise. He added that the ADSL service was introduced in the Kingdom when the Group launched it in 2001.
During the conference, Orange Home Vice President, Mrs Wassila Zitoune, revealed the name of the subscriber number 100,000 in ADSL, Mrs Dalal Ouqla Hasan Taleb and handed the same prize to the first subscriber to the ADSL service in Jordan, Mr Talal Fawzi Al-Lahham.
