MUSCAT -- Omanis are as good as any expatriates -- all they need is to firmly apply the will to work and the drive to succeed, says Ali Al Hashmi, chairman and CEO of OmanLine told the Times of Oman.
Noting that he was a true example of an Omani entrepreneur, willing to take the risks and then struggling against the odds and overcoming them, he said, that with specialised training Omanis could also explore new job areas.
However, the most important aspect was commitment, and that should be in plenty, he said. Gone were the days of job hopping when Omanis moved from one job to the other, putting employers and companies in difficulties. "This is no longer the scenario today. Omanis are very serious now about their jobs. Worldover, the economic impact is driving everyone to earn a decent way of living and here, in Oman, the Omanis are no different. What they require is an element of maturity and deep commitment. They should love their jobs and this is happening," Ali Hashmi said.
