Muscat - The Wave, Oman's top tourism and seafront residential development, has unveiled its revitalised, futuristic logo at Cityscape 2005 - the international property investment and development event currently being organised in Dubai. The Wave, Muscat is a joint venture comprising Oman's Waterfront Investments, representing the Government of Oman, the National Investment Funds Company that represents the Omani Pension Funds and the UAE's Majid al Futtaim Investments.

The revamped logo, which was released after a detailed research, design and testing process, is brighter, bolder, blue and the typeface is more modern, in line with the unique project, which embraces the tranquillity and distinct rhythmic influence of the Sultanate.

"The new logo is part of The Wave, Muscat's action-oriented strategy to extend the core essence of the brand, expressing its emotive and physical attributes. The Wave, Muscat continues to nurture its reputation of excellence. The new logo will be an indelible image that represents that level of excellence", said Wael al Lawati, Acting CEO of Waterfront Investments.

The refined identity also epitomises the Sultanate's rich seafaring heritage as well as captures a sense of vitality and endurance - showcasing a revitalising force of unending potential. "The Wave, Muscat, understands that a successful brand helps in delivering long-term commercial success, scoping out the potential opportunities which in turn will help in building the success further.

The logo change was part of a comprehensive branding exercise, which uniquely reflected our heritage, our strengths and our vision. As part of this exercise, we have also created top quality marketing collaterals to stress a clear positioning of the project in a cluttered market," he added.

Al Lawati, who was part of the panel discussion on Developing Sustainable Property Markets - Is The GCC Property Market Overheated?, on the first day of Cityscape, added: "It is clear that the region is enjoying a quantum change in the real estate and tourism sector and Oman is fully leveraging this buoyant mood in the region through the development of unique and contextual developments of which The Wave, Muscat is the first.
