Muscat -  LG Electronics, the global leader in air-conditioners, has launched an innovative commercial AC, the MPS (multi-power system) multi model in Oman.
The product equipped with latest technology in commercial air-conditioning and ideal for high-rise residential and commercial buildings was launched at a technical seminar, which had a fairly large gathering of representatives from various arms of the air-conditioning market in Oman.

At a press conference organised to announce the launch of this new product, top LG officials Chris Ahn and Dharmesh said that the company had sold over 10 million air-conditioners worldwide in 2004 and is holding the number one position in manufacture and sales of ACs since the last five years.
This number one rating has been given by internationally acclaimed Japanese

Air-conditioning and Refrigeration News (JARN) magazine. Oman Gulf Enterprises (OTE Group) is the sole distributor and partner of LG's full range of products in the Sultanate, which include packaged air-conditioners, ducted splits and ductless splits.

Speaking on the occasion, Sandeep Arora, general manager, EHA, OTE group, said that the successful partnership with LG is showing in the form of a strong 30 per cent growth phase for his company, which is beyond expectations.

Sandeep pointed out that the faith in LG products by Omanis can be seen in the fact that OTE has bagged several major air-conditioning projects which include the Bait Zawawi project, Ministry of Commerce and Industry annexe building, Judiciary Institute, Al Khuwair and Bowling Institute to name a few.

Oman Gulf Enterprises being part of the OTE Group has a huge market presence in the Sultanate with an excellent after sales service set up and spares parts stock to cater to customer needs around the clock, Sandeep said.

The JARN magazine quoting a market research company in Japan said that LG took about 20 per cent of the market share of the 52 million-market size in the world in 2004 with sales of $31 billion.

The Korea based LG is the fastest growing air-conditioning manufacturer with a compounded annual growth of around 25 per cent.

The company has over 60,000 employees globally with manufacturing units in India, China, Turkey and Korea, and has 23 R&D labs in Korea and 11 in other countries.

At the technical seminar, Dharmesh of LG presented the advanced features of the MPS Multi AC system, which he said is the next generation multi-type AC designed to be installed under any circumstances.

The MPS multi as the name suggests has two or more constant speed compressors on variable control with each one completing one cycle for different load levels.

The MPS multi can save a lot of energy (nearly 35 per cent) and is equipped with advanced intelligent system for better humidity control and has reduced noise levels. Other advantages of the MPS multi are its high reliability, free joint and space saving design.
