Muscat: Rashid bin A’mer Al Selhi, Deputy Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) for Administrative and Financial Affairs with members of Iranian trade delegation headed by Mahdi Tabibzadeh, Manager of Kerman Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture who is currently visiting the Sultanate.

The meeting was held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday.

In the meeting, they discussed strengthening trade and investment between the Sultanate and the Islamic Republic of Iran and the potential for opening marketing outlets for the products of both countries.

Omar Al Shibli from OCCI Economic Research and Studies Department showed a presentation on the Omani economy and the most important economic indicators and trade exchange with the Iranian Republic.

The meeting also included holding bilateral meetings between Omani businessmen and their Iranian counterparts to exchange information and the potential for establishing joint projects between the two sides.

It is worth mentioning that the Iranian trade delegation includes more than 35 members representing a number of economic sectors, including agriculture, industry, contracting, construction and building materials.
