Ibrahim al Wardi, Web Master of ITA, said the site comprises three main sections, focusing on the organisation of ITA and its mission and eOman projects. A new section is planned for the government sector which will enable government entities to exchange business documents online with ITA. This will be a secure platform accessible through customised user logins, Al Wardi pointed out. The media section is laden with news, press releases and IT news in Oman.
Vacancies and tender announcements are also available online on the website. In future, tender fees can be paid online through the website when the Internet payment gateway becomes operational, Al Wardi said. A section offers links to eServices provided by government entities. The Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feature facilitates content transfer from the website to client browsers instantly. Vital information about the ICT sector of Oman are available. The document library section provides presentations, speeches and reports from ITA's events like seminars, conferences, road shows and public meetings.
