MUSCAT -- Oman Air Training Centre has become the first authorised training provider of IATA/FIATA Diploma in Oman. This diploma is approved worldwide because it assures highly skilled capacity and for being a respected qualification for the ones who wish to work in an air transport company. Corporate communications and Media Department, Oman Air, said: "The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) is the largest non-governmental organisation in transportation, and was founded in Vienna/Austria on May 31, 1926.

It represents today an industry covering approximately 40,000 forwarding and logistics firms, also known as the "Architects of Transport", employing around 8-10 million people in 150 countries". Ruqaiya Adams, Acting Training Manager of Oman Air, said:" The IATA/FIATA International Cargo Agents Training Programme has been developed and is updated by a team of cargo experts and training specialists to assist cargo agencies in meeting their obligations under the Resolutions. The IATA/FIATA Introductory Course provided by Oman Air Training Centre is one of the requirements for accreditation as an IATA Cargo Agent.
