BOJNURD - The governor general of this northeastern Iranian province has called for the opening of Parsesu Customs on the border with Turkmenistan, IRNA reported on Monday.
"This can dramatically increase the level of trade between Iran and Turkmenistan," added Behruz Hemmati in a meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to Ashkhabad Mohammad Forqani. For his part, the envoy put the annual Iran-Turkmenistan trade at $1.2 billion, saying that the number could move up given the fact that this northern neighbor has joint borders with five Iranian provinces, namely North Khorasan, Khorasan Razavi, Golestan, Mazandaran and Gilan.
