Doha - Consolidated Gulf Co (CGC), the biggest retailer of Nokia mobile phones and Qtel, will bring together a festival offer where Nokia 1110i and Hala Sim card worth QR400 at an attractive price of QR249.
Announcing the offer yesterday, Anil Mahajan, Head of Business Development, CGC, said similar offers were available with other models like Nokia 1600 and Hala Sim card at QR309, Nokia 2310 and Hala Sim card at QR369, and Nokia 6030 and Hala Sim card at QR329.
"After witnessing an overwhelming response during last year, this is the second time we have come together with Qtel to launch such a big promotion. The idea behind this promotion is to cater to the entire population of Qatar by offering something special and valuable during this festive month. This way the customer enjoys an unbelievable saving and the convenience of purchasing and the convenience of purchasing a Mobile phone and a Sim card in one go", Mahajan said.
CGC would kick-start the offer from today running on till the stock exhausts. The offer will be available on selected Nokia mobile phones and would be available across all the retail and dealer outlets of CGC-Nokia, he added.
Soren Bostrup Sorenson, Senior Manager-Wireless Sales, Qtel, said Qtel was pleased to be a partner in this valuable offer. "We did a similar promotion with CGC during last Eid Al Fitr festival season and that was very successful and we hope to outperform this year. Nokia being the mobile market leader and CGC being their local partner makes the best choice to serve our common customers".
Replying to a query, Sorenson said Qtel has plans to launch special offers in connection with the upcoming Asian Games. However, he did not disclose the details.
In mobile phones and accessories segment, CGC enjoys a market share of more than 86 per cent and has a major presence in Qatar with a chain of seven CGC owned and operated showrooms, a Level-3 centralised Nokia Service Centre and a country-wide network of more than 50 dealers.
Mohamed Saleh Al Marri, Head, Third party Disribution, Wireless Division, Qtel and Syed Ayaz, Assistant Manager, Marketing, CGC were also present.
