TUNIS - Several organic laws regarding co-operation conventions between Tunisia and a number of foreign countries were approved by the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) at its plenary session held on Tuesday.
These conventions concern credit, sea transport and agriculture fields.
An organic law on the approval of letters' exchange between Tunisia and Germany to open an office of the German Bank for Reconstruction (KFW) in Tunisia, was adopted.
The NCA approved the convention that completes the agreement on creating an office of the German International Co-operation Agency (GIZ) aims to reinforce co-operation between the two countries in matters of development.
Besides, the Assembly adopted another organic law on the ratification of a co-operation convention concluded, on August 2, 2007, between Tunisia and Morocco in the maritime field.
The convention aims to develop economic and trading relations between the two countries, devise a co-operation strategy in sea transport, ports and multimodal transport fields and iron out obstacles to these activities.
Furthermore, NCA members approved an organic draft law on the additional protocol of the convention concluded, July 18, 2012, between Tunisia and the International Centre of Agricultural Researches in Arid Zones (ICARDA).
This convention will help ICARDA benefit of the same treatment as the UN international and regional organisations present in Tunisia.
Another organic draft law, stipulating adoption of the decision of the Turkish Partnership Council dating back to January 23, 2013, providing for the revision of tables A and B of the protocol N°2 of the partnership agreement on the creation of a free trade zone between Tunisia and Turkey.
