MUSCAT -- The SMS chat service recently launched by Nawras has evoked an overwhelming response. The new service called 'Dardasha' continues to grow everyday, a press release issued by the company said. In line with all Nawras services, 'chatting' was thoroughly tested before launch to make sure it worked perfectly and judging by the incredible reaction so far, it is proving to be a resounding success with customers. As expected from Nawras, the service offers great value at just 10 baisa per SMS, the release added. 'Dardasha' is user-friendly by simply sending GO via SMS to 90686.
"The 'Dardasha' chatting service has taken off," said Yasser al Ameer, Nawras Product Manager VAS and Messaging. He continued, "we are thrilled that our customers are getting closer and enjoying this opportunity to share the community circle of chat, communicating with other mobile users in Oman and even further afield through MSN, Yahoo and ICQ. The appeal lies in its simplicity and great value."
Customers can chat on a one to one basis or one-to-many in different chat rooms. Registered users can communicate with anyone else in the chatting community at any time, using their handset. Chat rooms cover a variety of different subjects from friends, jokes and sport to movies and shopping, allowing customers to express their views or share thoughts on common areas of interest. Nawras currently covers 96 per cent of the population with its world-class network, using national roaming where necessary.
