MUSCAT -- Muscat Electronics, which represents Daikin air-conditioners in the Sultanate, has launched the latest offering from the renowned Japanese manufacturer the VRV III air-conditioning system. The new Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) system was unveiled at a launch event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel last week, attended by representatives of leading contractors, dealerships and consultants. In opening remarks, Varghese Samuel, General Manager of Muscat Electronics underlined the growing popularity of the Daikin brand in the Sultanate and the wider Gulf region.
Also present at the launch were Faisal Mohammed al Yousuf, Chief Operating Officer of Muscat Electronics, and representatives of Daikin Middle East. The VRV III air-conditioning system is the seventh generation of the original Daikin VRV launched in 1982. Completely re-engineered to realise the opportunities for VRV in taller/larger buildings, it utilises the latest advances in refrigeration and air-conditioning technology. The 'state-of-the-art' cutting edge inverter technology delivers improved efficiency and performance, while ensuring satisfaction of demands throughout connected zones across the complete operation cycle and low running costs.
Designed and fully tested for an operating temperature range of -5°C to 52°C (in cooling) and -20°C to16°C (in heating). Reliability is assured throughout, with high specification, worry-free design and function. And our proprietary Double Backup Technology ensures constant operation. With the widest choice of indoor and outdoor units the Heat Pump configurations powers up to 30-Tonne capacity from a single piping network. VRV III also allows up to 58 indoor units to be connected to a single system. The new Daikin VRV III pushes the limits to deliver advanced solutions and even more flexibility for your engineered and design-build projects.
The new VRV III system (Variable Refrigerant Volume) saves electricity by approximately 40 per cent and is an ideal replacement to chillers. VRV indoor and outdoor units are the quietest in the world and are a revolution in air-conditioning technology. All machines have zero failure rates and are well maintained by Daikin trained engineers/technicians. Specially trained service engineers from Muscat Electronics attend any complaints within 2-3 hours, said Samuel.
Muscat Electronics (ME) has been associated with Daikin Industries for the last 30 years. Since the first VRV installation in Oman in 2002, ME has successfully commissioned 50 VRV projects in the Sultanate. The local distributor also received an award from Daikin Japan for being the largest seller of VRV in the Middle East in 2006-07. Over the last five years ME has installed VRV units of a total capacity of over 25,000 tonnes in Oman, which also includes the single largest VRV installation in the world.
