MUSCAT -- Muscat City Centre, Oman's favorite shopping destination, has been officially recognized as the best retail brand by Business Today, a leading national business monthly.
Business Today had engaged International Marketing Research Consultancy to conduct a survey on finding the best in business and Muscat City Centre/Carrefour has emerged top in the 'Best Retailer' category.
Muscat City Centre/Carrefour have been topping the brand charts of this survey for the third time in a row after being the Best Retailers in 2004 and 2005 as well.
The eight-million people who throng the mall every year is proof enough of Muscat City Centre's impeccable repute. "Muscat City Centre believes in the principle that people want a total shopping experience under one roof. The more you provide, the more you get," said Ibrahim Qasmi, general manager, Muscat City Centre.
The mall has certainly reinforced this vision. The mall offers a seamless blend of a host of premium international retail brands alongside unique family entertainment and leisure options.
Now with expansion plan in progress, Muscat City Centre is ensuring that not only does the shopping mall attract even more customers, but they have enough reason to visit the hub of fashion, food and fun.
The team at Muscat City Centre feels that it is this principle and innovative strategies that have placed them at the top of the charts. They have scored a smashing 3,271 points, which is more than 500 points above the next highest scorer.
"We are delighted to be recognised not only for the quality and scale of the mall but also for being able to lead the way in developing fresh ideas and setting new benchmarks. But what's really rewarding is that when it comes to brand recall we top the list." says Qasmi.
Muscat City Centre, a part of the MAF shopping malls under the Majid Al Futtaim Group, maintains its position as a major player in Oman's retail sector and is currently the biggest shopping mall in Oman, with over 80 international, regional and local stores.
The centre features destination stores such as Carrefour hypermarket, Magic Planet, family entertainment centre and an international food court consisting of 14 food outlets and cafes. Muscat City Centre also acts as a town centre and the social hub of the society by participating in community activities and public events.
