MUSCAT -- Muriya Tourism Development Company opened yesterday the Home Design Showroom in Shatti Al Qurum. The new facility provides 'Jebel Sifah' and Salalah Beach' clients with top of the range after sales services that includes options for high quality home finishes, upgrades and maintenance facilities, said Christa Diener-Pfeuffer, Vice-President, Design, Engineering & Planning Department.

VIP clients, estate agents, Muriya's selected home finishing suppliers and agents and Muriya executives attended the opening ceremony. Christa Diener said Muriya has an in-house design team that will offer expertise to interested customers on interior designing and landscaping options. Renowned European and international brands have been selected to provide numerous options for upgrades.

The showroom will also have a highly qualified landscape consultant and is an expert on plants and therefore able to offer relevant expertise to the clients. "With the opening of the Muriya Home Design Showroom, we have endeavoured to provide the highest level of after sales service offering personalised services to each client. Our consultants will guide the customers taking their suggestions on board to create a perfect home," said Christa Diener.

The showroom consists of three zones. The first incorporates flooring and painting options. The other two zones showcase the standard kitchen for villas and apartments and upgrade sanitary bathroom items and options in woodwork, accessories and carpentry. Standard Siemens electrical appliances have been used that include cooking range, built-in refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine and renowned brands such as Laufen, Jotun, SieMatic, Grohe and Nolte Kuchen have been selected as the standard brands for Muriya properties.

Leading suppliers have been allotted display space in each zone within the showroom; and there are various catalogues available for a wider choice. The outdoor area will also consist of landscaping samples and wooden terraces with different types of outdoor furniture. A visit to the new showroom will guide and inspire customers with the best selection of home finishes for their prime properties.

Established in March 2006, Muriya Tourism Development Company is a joint venture between Egypt's Orascom Hotels and Development with a stake of 70 per cent and 30 per cent with the Omani government, represented by Omran.
